Wow, it's been a while since I posted. First things first. John Kerry/John Edwards didn't win the election. I was a little bitter about that at first, but now I'm not. I guess it's over and there's nothing anyone can do about it. I am a little disappointed in John Kerry though. Less than 24 hours after the election ended, while Ohio was still the toss-up state, he threw in his towel. I admire his want to be the bigger man, but I just wish he would have waited it out. I certainly didn't want this to be like last election, where it came down the hanging chads and the Supreme Court, but he could've at least finished letting the votes get counted. Oh well... there's always the next election, in which I pray Hillary Clinton runs, cause I'd vote for her in a heart beat.

I found out my ex-boyfriend was being deployed to Iraq on November 13. I was kind of upset about that. Well, I got the balls to call him and wish him luck, and we decided to have lunch. We went to Applebee's. It was nice. A little akward at first. We haven't spoken nicely to eachother in about four years, and we haven't emailed eachother in a little over a year. He was shocked to find out I was married! Nice little suprise! Anyways, we talked for about 2 hours. I asked for his address so my mom and I could send him things he'll need, like Pop tarts, and baby wipes, etc. I was worried that James wouldn't be ok with me having lunch with him, and at first he wasn't. I can't blame him. I told him that if he weren't comfortable with it, I wouldn't go. I might never see my ex again, but I will see James every day, and my loyalty is with him. Anyways, he was ok with it, which I am glad for. So good luck to Alex! And everyone please keep him in your prayers!

Hmmm... School is... going... I can't wait for this semester to be over! I still need clients to practice on! Free Massage?! Yesterday I put in a transfer application to for a job at St Charles' Hospital. It's in the registration department, which is what I do now, so I'm really hoping I get it. It's not that I don't like St Vincent's, I just don't like driving through ghetto Toledo at 11:30 at night. So we'll see what happens with the job.

We are hosting Thanksgiving at our house this year. If everyone comes, we will have about 14 people. YIKES! My mom/sister, my inlaws, both of James' grandmothers, his brother, and my sister and her family! We got a 23 lb turkey, so I hope that feeds everyone. That's definately enough for at least one lb of turkey for each person, plus all the yummy trimmings! So we've been working our butts off to get our house up to par. We got a new couch with a nice area rug to liven up the living room. We also finished our bathroom, and painted our bedroom. I think everyone will be impressed at what we've done. Now I just need to clean like a maniac to get it in tip top shiny shape! I'm gonna need all the help I can get on this one, because impressing my inlaws might be hard to do. I'm afraid of all the criticizing I might get. Oh well... if no body likes our house or my food, then they don't ever have to come and eat here ever again. Wouldn't bother me none

Ok, well that's about it for now! Time to get a-cleanin!

So this week has been very busy!! First, had my midterm the day after I got back from NYC. I passed, so that was good. So I can practice massage on the general public! More to come on this later since I really don't know how I'm going to work that out quite yet. Also had to write a big paper and make a powerpoint on a type of massage. I did mine on pregnancy massage, since that is something that has always interested me. I learned quite a bit!!

Hmmm... my niece and nephew came over too. That was interesting. I'm seriously going to borrow them every time I get the baby crave. My niece, Sydney, is 8, and a terror!! Jack, my 2 yr old nephew, is wonderful! I could have 10 of him! Well, not physically, but he's just so fun! Syd's a know-it-all and picks on Jack terribly, so I was relieved to hand them back to Gloria Saturday morning! We had fun though! I took them shopping since I missed both their birthdays. Then we ordered pizza and watched a movie! We also decorated pumpkins! We were going to carve them out on our huge front deck, but since it was raining, I decided against that! And I certainly did not want pumpkin smushed into my somewhat new carpet! I settled for a glitter spill instead! Anyways, it was pretty fun.

This past Monday I went to the Seagate Center and saw John Edwards (vice presidential candidate) speak. It was really neat. Today I saw John Kerry speak at Savage Hall. That was even neater! He is a real people person, and a terrific public speaker! None of that "well... uh... hmmm... the truth is... uh..." stuff. (Sorry all you Bush fans, but he really doesn't do public speaking very well, which makes him sound kind of stupid) I'm sure that comment just cost me a friendship or two. Oh well. Which gets me going on another topic! You know, as adamant about this election and John Kerry as I am, politics doesn't take precident over my friendships! Presidents last 4 to 8 years, but my friends are forever! No matter who my friends vote for, I don't find it necessary to sacrifice my friendship over this election. Same reason why I hate discussing politics with ANYONE because it always gets me in trouble. Although we live in America, and have the right to free speech and the freedom of opinion and the freedom to vote for who we want, I somehow always end up pissing off someone because they ask my opinion. The way I see it, if you want to talk politics with me, don't get pissed off or call me stupid or ignorant or arrogant because I don't have to same PERSONAL views as you do. THAT'S childish. *rolls eyes* Enough of this! I can't wait for this election to be over with! But I must admit this is rather exciting!

Also today, I found out there are a bunch of problems with my financial aid for school, too. I found out the last financial aid officer who worked at Mercy (thank God she was fired) really screwed up my financial aid account, and I have a past due balance from Spring '04 because she didn't apply something to my account. Rah! So I've spent the last hour dealing with that. I have a headache, so I think I might go to the ER. Just Kidding. Might I say, though, that I will vote for whichever candidate has the best Medicaid reform policy!! What the hell?! I think my ADHD is kicking back up, because my stream of consciousness is all over the board today! Ok, well I'm gonna take a snoozeroo now before my mother comes over to nit-pick my house! Chow!

He who is hated has achieved distinction."

Well, I am back from NYC. Had a great time, as always. Got into a little spat with my mother because I didn't want to go shopping with her. Partly because it is no fun, and partly because I didn't have much money. Saw The Producers on Broadway. It was greatly funny! Everyone should see the 1968 film of same title! It has Gene Wilder in it! (Willy Wanka!) Anyways, it will be coming to the Stranahan soon, so everyone should check it out! So we had a good time, rode the subway a lot (reeked of urine!), I took James to the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building, the flatiron building, central park, etc. I'm glad to be back though. I passed my massage midterm yesterday, so now I am qualified to practice massages on other people! yay! Now to start building my clientel!... Right....
Well, nothing else really going on. My niece and nephew are coming over tomorrow, and we are going to carve pumpkins and decorate for halloween! fun! That means I need to finish up all the laundry and clean so they don't tell Gloria how messy my house is! So until later.... Chow!

Yay! Hip! Hip! Hoo-ray!

Ok...so anyways... Leaving for NYC today! Very excited! I *heart* NYC! We are flying! Yay for flying!! So been busy the last few days! School's been well. My teacher says I'm excelling at full body massaging, which is good Pretty soon, and I'll be all legal to give massages! YAY! And we've been busy preparing for this trip. Like packing and stuff, which I haven't done yet! So on today's agenda...
I took James to work, so I will pick him up at 5 and then we'll go straight to Detroit. I have currently folded and washed 2 loads of laundry. Yes, Leah is multitasking! Now I'm going to run some errands, like paying a few bills, going to WalMart to buy some snacks (cause food in NYC can be very pricey!), then I'm going to Kohl's to buy the remaining sets of dishes! And I have a 30% off coupon, which will save me almost $40! How exciting! We took Roxy to the inlaws, and I hope she will not come back in a body cast or something! I am worried for her, but they haven't killed their own dog yet, which I suppose is a good sign. So it is kinda lonely around here without her Anyways! I am going to get a run on it, so I can be done and packed and maybe? take a nap! So for now kiddies, enjoy your weekend! Tata!!!!

PS: Good Luck Laurel on Saturday!!!! Everything will run just smoothly like butter, and it will be an amazing day! I wish James and I could be there, but we will get together when we get back! I miss you! Tell Joe hi, and I'll be talking to you soon! Muah!

I forgot to mention Jason bought me a Breaking Benjamin t-shirt from the last concert he went to which I was supposed to go to but James wouldn't let me. So that was really fun.
